Genevieve Schmitt Named New Columnist for Local Montana Newspaper

Through a series of divine interventions, longtime journalist Genevieve Schmitt is now the new columnist for the Park County Community Journal, a bi-weekly free local community newspaper serving Livingston, Montana, and Park County, the gateway to Yellowstone National Park.

“I was so humbled when I met the publisher and editor who asked me if I wanted to write a column for her newly resurrected newspaper,” says Genevieve. “Steph Martens told me I could write about anything I want, promote what I want, and write as much as I want. How could I pass up that opportunity!”

Genevieve’s column, called “Peace Be With You,” debuted in the April 15, 2023 edition of the Park County Community Journal. After writing about the motorcycling and the powersports industries for the last 25 years, Genevieve’s heart has been drawn to explore spiritual topics. She started focusing on that subject when she launched her “Everyday Miracles” column on WomenRidersNow.com in 2014. But now, having a bigger audience, her hometown community, she’s thrilled to be writing about faith, God, and all things spiritual.

The Park County Community Journal comes out on the first and 15th of every month and is distributed at locations across Park County. For those out of the area, Genevieve’s columns can be read online here on the Park County Community Journal’s website.
